The Raider team is a team building and physical activity team that trains and competes to accomplish a high standard of whole body fitness. The Raider team requires a willingness to work hard, spirit of camaraderie and dedication to improve oneself. Anyone is able to  join if they are willing to challenge themselves. Raiders attend competitions on designated Saturdays. Raiders participate in activities such as rope bridge, mile runs, and other physical  training activities. Along with strength, endurance, and general athletic improvement, Raiders learn valuable teamwork and cooperative skills.

The Raider team Captain is chosen by Chief Allen, who oversees the training of the Raider team. Chief Allen sets high expectations for his cadets that can be achieved through hard work and commitment. While the Cadets are also doing high intensity training, Chief makes sure they are always safe and impresses upon them the importance of drinking water and stretching properly.

Team members will be issued a black aiguillette upon their competition of the competition year at the National Awards Ceremony. This item may be worn on uniform days. To be awarded the Raider Team ribbon (N-3-8) and an arc, a cadet must have attended practices and participated in at least 2 Raider meets during the semester. Additional award criteria is posted in the classroom. Exceptions will be approved by the SAI/AI.  If you are unable to attend practices, make sure you contact Chief Allen or the Raider Team Captain.
